I wouldn’t say I normally live life in the fast lane, although I’m busy-ish, I kind of do things at my own pace. This is the joy of being self-employed. However, a few weeks ago, after contemplating whether or not my 10-year-old self would be proud of where I am today, I decided it was time for a change of career and I started looking into jobs, signing up to recruitment agencies and starting a diploma in digital marketing.
Over the past few years, It’s become apparent to me that I really enjoy the marketing side of things more than actually photographing brides. I find after each wedding, I rush home to get stuck into editing and blogging my images, which I know most photographers really don’t enjoy. I love creating PDF guides, campaigns, and newsletters and basically seeing it all come together. I know I have a lot to learn but working behind the scenes on websites and stats is really where I want to be. And last week, after a few emails back and forth, one of the recruitment agencies found me my first interview. [Read more…]
