A sweet and filling breakfast for those of us in a rush!
1 ripe banana
1 tablespoon of Almond butter
Unsweetened almond milk
2 teaspoons of raisin paste
First, let’s just talk about raisin paste and how to make it– trust me, it takes about 5 minutes!
Grab a small ish bowl, fill half way with raisins, then cover with boiling water and leave for 2 minutes.
Tip a little bit of the water out, and transfer the raisins into a blender. Blend the raisins into a paste. It’s best to do this part the night before if you don’t have a lot of time in the morning as you don’t want warm paste going into the smoothie! Yuk. The paste will keep in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
Ok, so now that the really difficult bit is out the way, all you need to do is place everything into the blender and blitz! I guess how much milk I need, depending on how thick I want the smoothie. I’d say it’s roughly 250ml.
I like to drink mine from a fancy, tall, plastic cup equipped with it’s very own straw! Enjoy!
